Treecreeper Arborists at North Nibley Music Festival 2013

Blue skies & sunshine, great visitors, children’s tree related activities and free trees for members of the public all contributed to a truly enjoyable day running our trade stand at the North Nibley Music Festival.

This was our second year at the festival and this year we handed out 'whips' (or baby trees!) to members of the public.  With a choice of Field maple, Rowan, Hornbeam and Hazel trees, visitors were able to be guided by the team on the best tree for their gardens.  We also advised them on planting the tree and gave them a link on the website about planting.  We took peoples e-mail addresses so that we can keep in touch to find out how their tree is growing and give them advice on looking after it as it grows.

The younger visitors to the stand enjoyed looking at a couple of beautiful birds’ nests up close, as well as having a go at some bark rubbing and leaf printing.

After the success of this year we are really looking forward to North Nibley Music Festival 2014!!
